JV Islanders take down Riptide 44-24

Monday night was senior night at St Johns as the Islanders honored 6 seniors who were playing their final home game. The JV Boys Islanders basketball team lost a tough one on Wednesday night 48-44 to the Military Magnet Academy Eagles. Devaun Hamilton led St John’s in scoring with 20 points followed by Steven Britton with 10 points. The Islanders JV team is now 6-3 on the year.

St Johns won an overtime thriller Tuesday night at home versus Oceanside Academy 57-55. The game featured two overtimes as they traded points back and forth. The Islanders were itching to get back in the gym after their worst performance of the season on Friday night in which they shot 14%.
