For the first time in a week, the Islanders football team was able to put on the pads. As the lowcountry battle flood waters, the islander football team battle rust, traffic, and a testy Bobcat football team. The Islanders started the journey to Baptist Hill at 3:40 on Wednesday, after the 30 minute bus ride which took 2 1/2 hours to complete, they arrived at their destination. The Islanders started off sluggish, giving up an early touchdown to Baptist Hill. After the score, the Islanders came back to answer the score and took a 18-14 lead at half-time. In the second half, the rust started coming off as the Islanders put 22 points on the board in the second half. Baptist Hill would not go away, the Islanders were able to hold on to a 40-36 win to open up region play. The Islanders will host Lincoln on Monday. The game is homecoming for the Islanders. Game time is set for 6:30pm
